Hello

I just bought the Aruba / TNCA and the Curacoa / TNCC scenery as i was to preparing to fly i noticed that all my AI traffic was floating in the air at TNCA and i do not have any AFCAD file for this scenery, the TNCC is workin just fine but the problem is only TNCA / Aruba.

Can someone please tell me what i did wrong and where i can find an AFCAD file for my TNCA scenery??

Thanks alot in advance

  ARUBA/TNCA is taking shape!
Posted by: Coral Sea - 02-24-2008, 12:03 AM - Forum: TropicalSim Forum - No Replies

Hi <img src=\'http://www.tropicalsim.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\'Smile\' />

We are pleased to say that our newest project "Aruba - TNCA" is taking shape.
We hope to release it by mid/late March, completing the so called ABC Islands: Aruba, Bonaire & Curaçao.

As always, this is a totally new scenery, built from scratch, with new SDK, tools, textures, etc. It will be originally for FSX/SP-2/SP-1 and updated to be completely FS9 compatible, like Curaçao.
Users will receive two independent installers, one for each sim, to use it on FS9, FSX or both, as desired. No extra values for this.

Soon we will be showing here screens of this nice scenery.

My best regards,
Carlos Pereira.

Hello Guys,

I just bought the TNCC TNCB scenery and i can't see the blue lights of the taxiways at night. Is there a known issue or there is a way to solve it? I play on FS9

Thanks a lot for your help

  Rio`s Galeao/SBGL.
Posted by: Coral Sea - 02-12-2008, 04:23 PM - Forum: TropicalSim Forum - No Replies

Hi <img src=\'http://www.tropicalsim.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\'Wink\' />

We`ve been receiving frame-problems alerts from some users, related to Rio`s Galeao/SBGL scenery, after using our FSX/SP-2 update.

The strange factor is that all our other FSX airports are working nice, issues free after the SP-2 updates.
Some users are facing these very-low frames, others not. I don`t know what SP-2 (or Acceleration) did with our scenery, but looks like another broken funcionality issue. We managed to update all our other FSX sceneries to the SP-2 ambient without problems, but there is something else related to our SBGL that we are discovering here.

One of the things we are researching is if the affected users are making use of SP-2 stand-alone (downloaded) or using Acceleration pack. We have a tendency to suspect that who is facing this frames problem is using Acceleration, but this is something yet to be proven.

It`s very hard to believe that such a complex and detailed scenery was working so nice on SP-1 (AVSIM`s review atested that it barely changed frames comparing to the FSX default SBGL) and now is suffering this issue. Thanks Accel.... <img src=\'http://www.tropicalsim.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif\' class=\'bbc_emoticon\' alt=\'Smile\' />

We`re working hard on it here and will discover and fix whatever is causing this frame problem. We will not allow this scenery to stay like this, ok? Soon the airport will be nice to be used by everyone again.
If you are facing this issue, please hold on for some days, we are working on that, indeed!

As soon as we get it fixed we will comunicate here and release the proper patch.

My best regards,
Carlos Pereira.

- São Paulo - Congonhas
- Maceió
- Salvador
- Rio de Janeiro - Galeão
- Bonaire
- Canefield
- Melville Hall
- Nassau
- Punta Cana
- Cancun

The following bundles also receive SP2 update:

aircraft "stack up" at gates at MYNN
Posted by: rlipoff - 01-24-2008, 11:59 PM - Forum: TropicalSim Forum - Replies (1)

I have been using your Nassau scenery for a while now and have had this problem the entire time (I think). Aircraft seem to "stack up" at the same gate at MYNN, sometimes three or four at a time. I'm not sure if this occurs at any other TropicalSim airports, as I just recently bought the entire Caribbean pack and have yet to visit all the airports included. For comparison, I haven't seen it happen at Daytona, Key West, South Bimini, or St. Maarten. There doesn't seem to be a way to include a screenshot here, but the aircraft are essentially all parked at the same gate at the same time--you can see them overlapping. I eliminated a duplicate AFCAD file that came with Flight1's Ultimate Traffic, but that didn't seem to help. Also, not all aircraft parked at the airport stack up at one gate, it's just a few at one gate and the rest work correctly. It's not the same gate every time either. I hope you can help.

Thank you,

Russell Lipoff

Need assistance with lost files (computer crashed)
Posted by: J.C. - 01-24-2008, 03:42 AM - Forum: TropicalSim Forum - Replies (12)

Good evening,
My computer crashed a few days ago, and unfortunately, I lost all my data. To make matters worse, my backup flash drive that contained my important flightsim files (including the sceneries that I purchased from Tropicalsim) became corrupted. I sent an email to tropicalsim@gmail.com with all of my order information (including reg/serial numbers) as provided by simmarket. Can someone provide some assistance in this regard? Thanks
