VC BIRD INTL ANTIGUA 2017 - TAPA - FS9/FSX/P3D-v1/v2/v3/v4 RELEASED
Posted by: TropicalSim - 07-10-2017, 10:55 PM - Forum: TropicalSim Forum - Replies (15)

Hello everyone,

As we have stated here many times before, we work with more than one product at once, and when one of them nears completion we go full steam on that one, so whilst you have seen two previews of Albuquerque - USA, the finished and released airport is actually V.C. Bird International Airport - Antigua and Barbuda.

The new version features the new terminal complete with 3d details, SODE optional jetways, the new apron layout has been represented on our scenery, the extension at runway 07 has also been represented. The old terminal has been repainted from the pink-ish color to a light gray to match the very very white new terminal, which we have added plenty of ambient occlusion shadows to break all that white and give it that realistic look.

We have two new changes regarding our product line with this release... as expected, enters Prepar3d v4 support. This mean an exclusive installer for P3Dv4 (Not shared like P3D v2 and v3) with full native P3Dv4 SDK usage, including dynamic lights. This means an installer for FSX, FSX:SE and P3Dv1, another installer for P3D v2 and v3, and a third installer for P3Dv4.

The second change is that we will begin to phase out FS9 creation, and the FS9 version has been separated from the FSX/P3D versions so we can know exactly how the market is responding to this simulator.

All good things come to an end, and FS9 was a great thing, but with what we now have in Prepar3d v4, the distance has grown considerably larger between them and if we are to keep on improving and adding new features, we cannot continue to be able to be held back by FS9 restrictions and limitations, since it already misses out on specular maps, larger resolution textures, zbias code for native sdk usage for ground, dynamic lights, real-time reflections among all other new materials/items since FS9 > FSX > P3D v1/2/3/4.

Anyway, enough technical talk, here are some screens. For all screens see the FS9 or FSX/P3D sales pages:

Posted by: TropicalSim - 06-21-2017, 03:08 PM - Forum: TropicalSim Forum - Replies (6)

Hello,

Here is out second set of preview for Albuquerque International Sunport Airport. The main pax terminal is taking shape as you can see in the screens here as well as the cargo area with the UPS and FEDEX building, as well as the Swissport Fueling area. Remember it's a work in progress, lot's to be done, the ground poly has had no work done as of yet so it's just a placeholder at the moment.

How can I purchase the 2012 version of Rio de Janeiro Galeão Airport?
Posted by: TAM8547 - 06-14-2017, 05:55 PM - Forum: TropicalSim Forum - Replies (3)

Hi all,
is it possible to purchase the 2012 version and not the 2016 version? I just dont like the new terminals the same as in Sao Paulo Guarulhos. They just dont fit in the airport. The difference is too strong between the old and the new terminals but fortunately I bought Sao Paulo Guarulhos many years ago so I still have the original version of TropicalSim SBGR.
But since I still havent SBGL it would be nice to purchase original 2012 version. Would that be possible?
Best regards,
Patrick

Olá Leandro,

Alguma previsão para adaptar os cenários BR para o P3D v4. E é possível também utilizar as novas luzes dinâmicas nos postes dos pátios?

KABQ - Albuquerque Airport _Fisrt preview
Posted by: Coral Sea - 05-29-2017, 01:00 AM - Forum: TropicalSim Forum - Replies (1)

Hi Folks!  Smile

Here's our first Albuquerque/KABQ preview.

Showing some airport areas only:

- the parking building featuring it's solar panels.
- the main entrance region.
- the Sheraton and other parking areas.
No terminal building on this preview.

Please note, this is just an inicial preview, a lot of work yet to be done.
No cars, no renderized shadows, no AO, no people, no dedicated ground work, no other eye-candies, but we think you will be able to have an idea of what is coming ahead on this scenery.
Hope you enjoy it  Wink

  KOMA Omaha Updated v1.1
Posted by: TropicalSim - 03-31-2017, 02:09 PM - Forum: TropicalSim Forum - No Replies

Hi everyone,

We've just released a major update to our Omaha airport, which is now version 1.1. Customers who have purchased have by now been notified by simmarket of the update. See the change log below:

• Re-textured Signature complex with baked textures (ambient occlusion)
• Inclusion of company logos on the east apron hangars
• Inserted gate number markings
• Additional apron-side objects added
• Cranked up the detail on the airport road entrance (We decided to push a
little more due to good feedback of FPS and VAS performance)
• Reworked hard winter airport ground texture to a much more realistic
snow cover appearance
• Replaced "brick" wall textures of the terminal and parking garage
• Added volumetric halo effect to the main apron floodlights (FSX and
Prepar3d v1, v2 & v3 only)
• Added volumetric grass to the islands of the airport and around
taxiways/runways (FSX and Prepar3d v1, v2 & v3 only)
• Added 3D lights to the roads and highways of the photoreal area (FSX
and Prepar3d v1, v2 & v3 only)
• Added soft snow cover effect above aprons, taxiways and runways during
heavy winter season (FSX and Prepar3d v1, v2 & v3 only)
• Added wet surface layer to FSX ground (FSX, P3D v1 only, SODE
required)
• Added wet surface layer and specular effect to the native material P3D
v2/v3 optional ground (SCASM is the default ground due to inability of
seasonal textures on P3D v2/v3 models) (Prepar3d v2 & v3 only)
• New installer coding for FSX/P3Dv1 version that allows user to select
between FSX/FSX-SE/P3Dv1 whose path will be located from the registry
and option to automatically insert the necessary entry into the scenery.cfg
file
• New installer coding for P3Dv2/P3Dv3 version that allows user to select
between P3Dv2/P3Dv3 whose path will be located from the registry and
option to automatically insert the necessary entry into the scenery.cfg file
• Autogen Configuration Merger tool integrated into the installer
(FSX/P3Dv1 and P3Dv2/P3Dv3) to add necessary autogen entry to the
default.xml file (required for 3D lights)

I just installed this Scenery and have a quick question. Is the "hill" beyond the runway 10 threshold supposed to be there? I note from the A/D Chart that the runway threshold should be 28 feet but the picture shows 19 feet in FSX. It's no big deal, I can live with it but I'm just curious. I have no terrain mesh that could conflict with the scenery. Cheers Smile

  More US airports planned?
Posted by: cmpbllsjc - 03-02-2017, 10:35 AM - Forum: TropicalSim Forum - Replies (12)

Leandro,

Just saw on ADX that you released Omaha and was wondering if you had plans on more of these smaller US airports in the plans.

Specifically KTUS in Tucson, AZ, KABQ in Albuquerque, NM and a much needed KDAL in Dallas, Tx.

For some reason all of these airports in the southwestern part of the US have never received any payware production and have been requested on many flight sim forums. KDAL is one of the largest Southwest Airlines bases in the US as is KABQ.

Hope you will consider these, especially Dallas and Albuquerque in the futures.

Btw, I live across the street from KDAL and can provide any photo material needed from the exterior of the airport but of course don't have internal airport access.

  SBRJ 2014 - Fechar a 02L/20R
Posted by: flaviossa - 02-03-2017, 03:31 AM - Forum: TropicalSim Forum - Replies (1)

Oi pessoal, tudo bem?

Obrigado!

Colliding traffic at LPPR and LPPD Airports with My Traffic 6.0a
Posted by: andreffvieira - 01-05-2017, 11:16 PM - Forum: TropicalSim Forum - Replies (3)

Hi, i am having a trouble with AI Traffic from My Traffic coliding in these 3 airports:

At LPPR all the aircrafts landing at Rwy17 taxi to the apron by taxiway F, taxiway F is also the taxiway used by all the departing traffic at this airport therefore whenever theres an aircraft awaiting for take off clearance on taxiway F and other that has landed on Rwy 17 there will be a traffing jam. It would be pretty nice if all the arriving traffic that lands Rwy 17 could exit the runway at taxiway D.

At LPPD all the aircrafts landing at Rwy 30 taxi to the apron by taxiway E, taxiway E is also the taxiway used by all the departing traffic at this airport therefore whenever theres an aircraft awaiting for take off clearance on taxiway E and other that has landed on Rwy 30 there will be a traffing jam. It would be pretty nice if all the arriving traffic that lands Rwy 30 could exit the runway at taxiway D.

I have attached one example of this situation at LPPR, the other reported happens in the same way as described giving no chance for the traffic to flow, all the aproaches turn into go around and all the departing traffic acumulates in any of the 2 taxiways mentioned above.

Any help will be more than welcomed, Thanks, regards.
